Upper Dolpo trekking is highly saturated culturally Tibetan region in upper part Dolpo district, It is still considered as untouched and less crowded trekking route, It is geologically part of sedimentary Tibetan-Tethys zone. It is surrounded by many majestic mountains including giant Dhaulagiri (8172m) which act as a barrier to the flow of cloud which bring semi-arid climate causing less amount of rainfall reportedly annual precipitation of fewer than 500 millimeters, as a result, it is considered a cold desert of Nepal.
Upper Dolpo trekking enables the trekkers to travel around isolated monastery on the trial, crystal mountain majestic Mt.kanjirowa, a dippest Lake of the world Shey Phuksundo and the ancient Tibetan lifestyle. The diverse landscape, the untouched and unexplored flora and fauna add nothing but the enthusiasm in our trek.
Upper Dolpo trekking, people are adherents of Bon. A religion predates Buddhism but whose modern form is officially accepted as a fifth school of Tibetan Buddhism. The remote reason has preserved its Tibetan culture in relatively pure form, making it attractive and unique to Westerners. This is the only trekking which offers a unique form of diverse Tibetan culture amazingly different than another Tibetan influenced region of Nepal. It is a pure form of being in the wilderness, as a result, it is difficult for accommodation, lack of other tourism infrastructure which is totally non-existent, and organized camping tour is must while doing Upper Dolpo trek.
Upper Dolpo trekking starts from fly by plane to Juphal- Dunai which is the center of Lower Dolpo and Upper Dolpo trekking start hike passes through various beautiful landscape to the sight of gigantic mountain Ranges.
