Meraand Island peak via Amphu Laptsa

Mera Peak expedition is the highest of the peaks that are considered trekking peaks in Nepal. Although it is a lofty mountain at 6476m, its normal trail does not require much technical climbing. On a less-frequented trail in the Khumbu, it’s located to the east of the main Khumbu. During our guided trip, we aim to summit several times throughout our itinerary.

Meraand Island peak via Amphu Laptsa

Mera peak Nepal we lead are normally small teams with moderate climbing and hiking experience who are looking for a non-technical but basic alpine summit in Nepal. A typical winter climbing group has learned some techniques but had never tested themselves at high altitudes. Solo climbers, small groups, or even whole families can sign up for our open climbs and we also offer a lot of private climbs.

Important things for the client before going to Mera and Island Peak

Meraand Island peak via Amphu Laptsa

Mera peak Expedition Guide Sherpas, porters, and porter teams follow us until we reach our next stop. As we climb higher on the trail and on the mountain, we stay in a combination of tea houses and lodges. Keeping our expeditions comfortable and lightweight is crucial to our success. About 5100 meters high, which is the altitude of the base camp at Island Peak (near the Imja and Lhotse glaciers). Views of the island peak will be available at the base camp. A rocky gully leads to the ridge where you begin the climb up Island peak. Ropes and crampons to cross the glacier to the South Ridge and Island Peak summit. Just a beautiful view of the Himalayas awaits us from the top! The emotions only summiteers can experience are not interpretable by anyone else.

Mera peak Location,  descent down to Lukla finally begins via a remote monastery called Tengboche. On a height of 12,865 feet, we can see the Khumbu monastic life at the Tibetan Buddhist temple site. The Dudh Koshi River follows our descent, and we ascend some until we reach Namche Bazaar, where the main route to Everest Base Camp takes us. There will be a lot of traffic on the trail because it’s the only way to do the Everest Base Camp trek, three pass trekking, and go to Gokyo. Continuing down the EBC trail, we descend to Lukla, where we will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
