This is Dhan B. Gurung,

I am originally from Manaslu. My credentials include the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) and the Nepal Mountain Guide Association. Nepalese Himalayan Guide License number 75. I became a guide in 1984 after working several years as a porter, cook, and sherpa and becoming fluent in English and French. Currently working as a trekking guide with The Ganesh Himal Trekking Company and Yeti Mountaineering & Trekking Company, I have spent over 38 years working as a professional trekking and mountaineering guide.

I have a great deal of experience trekking to nearly every type of destination, from Mt. Everest, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Upper Dolpo, Tilicho Pass, Annapurna, and Langtang, to Dolpo, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Helambu, and peak climbing over 6000 meters.

In Nepal, Dhane Gurung is active in tourism associations and government programs for the UN World Food Program.

From 2014-2017, I was a member of the Executive Committee and Central Secretariat of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA)

Right now. Since 28 June 2022, I have been elected the Secretary of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).

I was the Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association from 2023 to 25 July. 1 was elected by 535 vote members of the Nepal NMA. In our time, we work on many things, such as mountain training and mountain leader training, plus we have organized a UAAA meeting in Kathmandu.

Namaste, My Name is Amrit Gurung:  Senior Guide and Marketing Director. 

Trekking is in my blood because I was born into a family of trekkers. We have been working in this field for decades. I’m a Responsible Guide full of knowledge. I have experience in trekking like Manasalu Trek, Kanchenjunga Trek, Upper Dolpo and Lower Dolpo, Everest Base Camp trek Via Three passes, Round Makalu, Round Langtang, Annapurna circuit, Mustang Trek, Tsum Valley Trek, Ganesh Himal Trek, and Tibet Kailash tour, and Mera and Island peak climb, working for more than 10 Years.

Here’s what Dhan. B Gurung is up to now

It has been my pleasure to serve as the Secretary of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) since 28 June 2022. It is my responsibility to oversee over 600 Nepal trekking peaks throughout the Nepal Himalayas.

Additionally, I am the Managing Director of the Nepal Alsace trekking agency. My responsibilities include the Nepal trek & Expedition and anyone who joins me for the trek & expedition, as well as taking care of any emergency cases.
