Lukla to Mera Peak is quite physically challenging; however, you are training yourself for the climb while on your 12-day trek to the summit, which involves hiking from 3000 meters to 5000 meters in sometimes treacherous terrain. It is a well-maintained pathway, but some ascents are lengthy and strenuous. You will definitely break a sweat and be breathless in the lower valleys due to its heat.

However, we recommend Mera Peak Nepal, a good fitness program at least six weeks before your trip, it should build up general stamina as well as specific leg muscle for the client. The best way to train for this type of trip is to hike with a rucksack as often as you can. In the gym, try to use step machines that work on the thigh and calf muscles, and try to build your heart rate up to 50% above resting level. Although swimming is a good cardiovascular exercise, it does not train all the muscle groups in the body, so it should be included with other exercises for effectiveness. Especially those that work on core strength, balance, and stability are perfect for this kind of trip, such as body pump, pilates, and aerobics.

Mera Peak Expedition Nepal

Prior knowledge of winter walking and mountaineering equipment is a plus, but during the Mera peak trek to the summit, distance from Lukla to Mera peak the guide will offer training, so you can practice the skills needed, such as clipping into a rope and walking safely. As part of this, you will need to know how to use equipment like crampons, a walking Ice ax, harnesses, and carabiners, and how to tie into a man rope.

In this adventure, a great deal of success and enjoyment comes from good teamwork and communication. Make sure that you are willing to share your knowledge and assist others who are unsure, and ensure that you allow plenty of time for stops and good sleep so that you can acclimate properly.
