Chhukung to Island Peak Climbing is a well-known route for both trekking and mountaineering enthusiasts in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Island Peak, which is also referred to as Imja Tse, is among the most sought-after trekking peaks in Nepal, standing tall at an altitude of 6,189 meters.
From Chhukung Base Camp, the trail leads to Island Peak Base Camp, which is situated at an altitude of 5,200 meters.
Summit to Island Peak (6,189 Meters)-The climb to the summit of Island Peak involves walking on snow and ice, and the last 100 meters of the climb involves a steep and narrow ridge. The climb requires some basic mountaineering skills, including the use of an ice axe and crampons, and prior experience in high-altitude trekking is recommended.
The best time to climb Island Peak is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons, when the weather is stable and clear. However, it is still important to be prepared for sudden weather changes, as mountain weather can be unpredictable. It is also essential to have proper mountaineering gear and a trained guide for a safe and enjoyable climbing experience.

If you need a full package from Kathmandu to trek and climb to Lukla Renjo La (5,435m) pass, Gokyo Ri (5,320m), or trekking to Chola pass (5,420m) with Everest base camp (5,450m) Kalapathar (5,545m).
If you need to go to Kongmala three passes (5,535m) before the climbing Island peak then we will provide you with all lodging, flooding, and Guide-porter domestic air ticket Ktm-Lukla-Ktm during the trek.
If we need communication during the trek- Some Trekking regions will not be covered by mobile phone networks. Some places do offer landline and satellite phone service, but it will cost you 5 to 10 USD per minute to contact your family or friends. Therefore, be sure to carry extra money when hiking in the mountains or climbing peaks in Nepal.
Which Permits do we need for this trek and climbing? It would help if you had a Sagarmatha National Park Permit. PasangLhamu VCD tax and an Island peak climbing permit.

Don’t worry you can hire climbing equipment at Checking, But if you have your own Alpine boot then better to bring with you your own size. Because in Chhukung there is the only plastic boot.
