Pisang peak climbing with Annapurna circuit trek

Pisang Peak is a popular climbing destination in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is often combined with the Annapurna Circuit Trek to create an adventurous and rewarding journey. Here’s an overview of the Pisang Peak climbing expedition along with the Annapurna Circuit Trek:

The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Pisang peak climbing is a classic teahouse trek that takes you through diverse landscapes, picturesque villages, and stunning mountain vistas. It usually starts from Besisahar and circumnavigates the Annapurna massif. You’ll pass through lush valleys, terraced fields, and rhododendron forests, and cross high mountain passes like Thorong La Pass (5,416 Meters}/17,769ft). The trek typically takes around 18- days to complete, depending on your pace and acclimatization needs.

Pisang Peak climbing from Pisang Village: Pisang Peak (6,091m/19,978ft) is a moderate technical climb that requires previous climbing experience and good physical fitness. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. The climb is usually done from the High Camp (5,400m/17,716ft) and involves ascending through a glacier and steep snow slopes. The climb itself takes about 1-2 days.

Drive to Besisahar Chame: Take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Trek to Pisang: Follow the Annapurna Circuit trail, passing through beautiful villages like Jagat, Dharapani, and Chame. Reach Pisang village and acclimatize for a day.

Climbing Permit: The peak falls under a restricted area, so you’ll need a RAP to climb the peak. The RAP is issued by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and requires you to be accompanied by a licensed climbing guide. In addition to these permits, you may also need the following if you plan to take alternative routes or visit specific areas within the Annapurna region:

It’s highly recommended to join an experienced guide or a trekking company for the Annapurna Circuit Trek and Pisang Peak climb to ensure safety and support throughout the journey.

Food Service Peak Climbing and Trek: Regarding food, the teahouses and lodges along the Annapurna circuit trekking route, usually have extensive menus offering a variety of meals to choose from. You can expect a mix of local Nepali dishes, as well as international options like pasta, pizza, fried
