The official name of the country is Nepal Federated Democratic Republic

Dimensions: 147, 181 sq. km

Landlocked; Tibet in the north and India in the south; the highest point is Mt. Everest, 8848 m, and the lowest is Keshena, 60m above sea level.

Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, has been described as a “city of temples” around the world.

Nepal has some of the most diverse vegetation in the world, ranging from subtropical rainforests to Alpine deserts in the Himalayas.

Climate in Nepal

Nepal has a subtropical climate in the lowlands and an arctic climate at higher elevations. There are four seasons in Nepal, namely winter December – February, spring March-May, monsoon June – August, and autumn September – November). Spring and autumn are recommended seasons for trekking and tours.
