Third Day: Kathmandu to Pokhara
From Kathmandu by tourist bus to Pokhara, 200 KM, one of the most scenic days for going to Pokhara. The road follows the Prithivi highway along the Trishili River, with views of green hills, the river, terraces, and local villages.
From Kathmandu to Pokhara, it takes 7-9 hours, depending on the traffic jams and road conditions. All the tourist buses leave at 7: AM from Sorrakhutte, near Thamel.

Your trek begins in Kagbeni (2800 m), and you officially enter the restricted Upper Mustang par. Follow the Kali Gandaki River through the villages and the dramatic landscapes of wind-eroded cliffs, colorful rock formations, and ancient caves. After your breakfast, the trek follows a gentle trail across open plateaus with beautiful views of the surrounding red cliffs and snow-capped Himalayan peaks. From here, slowly climb to Ny La Pass (4,010 m), which is the highest point on the Upper Mustang trek itinerary. From here we descend through clorful landscapes and ancient Chrtens to the peaceful Village of Ghami (3,520 m). This village is known for its traditional Tibetan culture, whitewashed houses, and one of the longest mani walls in the Upper Mustang region.
