Dingboche to Island Peak Climbing via Chhukung Ri is a challenging and adventurous trekking and mountaineering route in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek to the village of Dingboche.

Peak climbing From Dingboche: The trek leads to the village of Chhukung and then to the summit of Chhukung Ri, which is located at an altitude of 5,550 meters. The summit of Chhukung Ri offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Lhotse, Makalu, and Ama Dablam, Mt, Everest.

After descending from Chhukung Ri: the trek leads to the Island Peak Base Camp, which is located at an altitude of (5,200 Meters). From here, the climb to the summit of Island Peak (6189 Meters) involves walking on snow and ice, and the last 100 meters of the climb involves a steep and narrow ridge. The climb requires some basic mountaineering skills, including the use of an ice axe and crampons, and prior experience in high-altitude trekking is recommended.

The best time to undertake this trek and climb is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons, when the weather is stable and clear. However, it is still important to be prepared for sudden weather changes, as mountain weather can be unpredictable. Drinking water during the Trek: You can take boiled water from the lodge it costs 2-300 Nepali rupees per bottle. It is better to use water purification drops and tablets which you can either bring from your country or can buy in Kathmandu.

Food Items during thek and Expedition: During the tea house lodge trekking, you will find typical foods such as Noodles, Rice, Pasta, Potato dishes, fresh vegetables, and eggs, for dinner and Lunch. For the Breakfast items Tibetan bread, Pancake, muesli, Porridge, and toast with peanut butter. Honey and jam.
